Dear brothers and sisters,
In recent weeks, the Lord has impressed upon me a couple of times that I need to pray more in silence, solitude and on my knees. I am still not sure whether or not this impression was from the Lord so I am hesitant to establish any sort of regular meeting or permanent change in our weekly schedule, at least not yet…
So I want to take it one day, one week at a time. The potential days for additional prayer times are Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10-11pm. Our Tuesday meetings from 8-9pm for corporate prayer will not change — this is still our official weekly prayer meeting.
For these additional personal prayer times, the background music will be generally quieter and have no lyrics (similar to the songs we use for our first of the month Sabbath Sundays). It is my personal prayer that I can spend time in His presence and learn to listen for His still, small voice.
Feel free to drop by for 10-15 minutes, or stay the full hour. Nobody will know you are there, but God will know. Also, since we are ending late, please no loitering in the parking lot after it’s over. Everyone goes home right at 11pm.
