Father, Thank you for giving us a new year when we can learn to seek Your face. Shine Your face upon us, that our countenance would brighten and we would shine with a beaming confidence, a peace, and a freedom that comes only from You.
Jesus, we turn to You. Please remove the veil from our hearts. Teach us how to live by faith and not by sight. In spite of what is happening around us, we put our hope in You. Have mercy on us and we wait for You to act on our behalf.
Put a song on our heart so that we can sing whenever we see You. And even when we don’t see You, we commit that we will sing until we see You. Like David, help us to become seekers of Your face, thankers, testifiers, edifiers, encouragers, and praisers.
We become what we behold. It is our goal to behold the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Meet us and change us to be more like Jesus.
We want to shine for Jesus boldly and brightly in this crooked and twisted generation, so that this world may see our good works and give glory to God.
